 项目教学法是指以培养学生的实践能力为出发点,以团队合作为基础,将传统的学科体系中的知识内容转化为若干个教学项目,通过构建真实任务情境,围绕具体的学习项目,引导学生主动参与,在实际训练中获得新的知识与技能,促进实践能力发展与提高的教学过程。

 英语应用文写作项目化教学可划分为三个阶段。

 (一)、准备阶段

 根据英语应用文写作课程的知识体系及学生生活、职业岗位的需求,将整个课程内容分为“个人事务写作、文秘事务写作和商务事务写作”三个模块,每个模块作为一个项目,每个项目再分成若干个子项目,构成教学内容。

 个人事务写作包括求职、申请、履历、个人简介、感谢、邀请、道歉、请条等。文秘事务写作包括通知、议程、记录、备忘录、报告、总结、各类函电等。商务事务写作包括广告、建立业务关系、推销信、投诉及理赔信、询(报)盘等。教师提出项目任务设想,与学生讨论并确定目标和任务。以“商务事务写作”这个项目下属的子项目“投诉信”为例,确定项目任务是掌握投诉信及回信的内容、特点、格式及常用语块。确定课堂训练环节。教师指导学生搜集、整理和讨论与此项目相关的信息,激活学生已有的语块知识。学生就所得到的信息进行整理,写出初稿。

 (二)、实施阶段

 课堂实训分为三个环节:案例讨论、错例修改和模拟实训。首先由学生展示准备的案例,师生讨论引出第一个知识点:投诉信及回信的内容和特点。接着以小组为单位分析案例,引出第二个知识点:投诉信及回信的写作格式及常用语块。教师将标示文章开头、主题内容、结尾的关键语块挑选出来,向学生展示和讲解。比如,投诉信开头部分指出投诉原因的常用语块有Iamwritingtomakeacomplaintabout…/Iwouldliketodrawyourattentiontotheproblem/fault…/Iwishtoexpressmydissatisfaction/disointmentabout…等;承接部分用以提出问题解决办法的语块有Weshouldbeobligedifyouwouldreplace…/Wearepreparedtoaccept…ifyou…等;结尾部分的语块有Ihopethat…willgetyourkindconsideration/Iamlookingforwardtoyourreply.等。回信常用语块有Wearesorrytolearnthat…/Thankyouforyour…/Wereallymustapologizefor…等。接下来由教师展示投诉信及回信的错误案例,提出问题,比如格式是否合理,所使用的语块是否正确,应如何修改?训练学生识别语块,学会使用语块。然后师生共同讨论,修改错例,总结投诉信及回信的写作要点和常用语块。设计口头造句或笔头填空、翻译练习,训练学生的语块记忆和运用。然后,进行模拟写作训练。学生根据已有的知识独立修改初稿,然后交换写作,互相修改,掌握语块的形式、功能和利用语块组成语篇的有效方法。最后学生以PPT文件、纸质作业、角色扮演、讲述等方式进行展示。

 (三)、评价阶段

 评价阶段是对整个项目活动的检查评估和总结,用形成性评价和终结性评价相结合的评价体系。形成性评价可以是学生自评、小组互评、教师评价,主要对学生在整个项目完成过程中的表现(资料的收集准备情况、学习态度、参与实践等)进行评价。对写作质量从格式、内容、语块使用三个方面评价。对优秀习作的语言表达(语块的运用)、语篇结构做出点评,予以表扬。最后,学生根据反馈信息再次修改,形成最终作品,由教师给予终结性的评价。
